Armour, Cook And Triplett Headline Field Teeing Off In The 44th Annual Taylormade Pebble Beach Invitational Presented By DELL EMC

Unique tournament on November 19-22 puts rising stars and Tour veterans head-to-head in search of a Pebble Beach championship title

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (November 18, 2015) – The TaylorMade Pebble Beach Invitational Presented by DELL EMC celebrates its 44th playing this year on November 19-22, and with it brings a new tournament sponsor and another stellar field of players vying for a Pebble Beach championship title.

The TaylorMade Pebble Beach Invitational is the only golf tournament in the world that brings together PGA, LPGA, Champions and Web.com players to compete head-to-head for the title. The tournament welcomes TaylorMade Golf Company as its new title sponsor – also the corporate golf brand partner for Pebble Beach Resorts thanks to a multi-year deal that took effect in January 2015. In the tournament’s storied history, it has hosted some of the game’s top professionals teamed with select amateurs from around the world, and its winners include two-time Major winner and World Golf Hall of Fame member Johnny Miller; 1996 PGA Champion Al Geiberger; and seven-time LPGA Major winner and World Golf Hall of Fame member Juli Inkster.

The TaylorMade Pebble Beach Invitational is a four-day event that features 81 professionals. Players will contend on Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and The Links at Spanish Bay simultaneously from Thursday, November 19 through Saturday, November 21. Pebble Beach Golf Links will host the final round on Sunday, November 22, where professionals that make the cut will compete for a $300,000 purse ($60,000 for first place).

Three-time Invitational winner Tommy Armour III returns to defend his 2014 title this year, and other past winners in the field include Mark Brooks (1992, 2002 and 2009), John Mallinger (2010), Kevin Sutherland (2000), Olin Browne (2001) and Kirk Triplett (1996), who is also a two-time winner of the Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach. LPGA star Natalie Gulbis, local favorite and LPGA player Mina Harigae and 2010 Golf Channel Big Break winner Blair O’Neal are also competing. Additionally, past AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and First Tee Open winner John Cook, golf broadcaster Gary McCord, three-time First Tee Open winner Jeff Sluman, and PGA Tour winners Matt Bettencourt and Mike Weir will all tee it up for the championship crown.

Teams of four amateurs are matched with a different pro each day. The event’s innovative tee-placement system, based on the average length of shots in each Tour, makes this competition possible. Spectators are welcome free of charge all days to enjoy the action. Convenient complimentary parking is available above Peter Hay Golf Course. The TaylorMade Pebble Beach Invitational continues to support the local charities of the Kiwanis Club of Monterey and the AT&T Pebble Beach Junior Golf Association.
