We are proud and honored to have partnered with so many leading organizations to best serve our community during this time. Throughout the report, you will find many inspiring stories of Foundation grantees demonstrating resilience to provide much-needed services in innovative ways. It is said that during times of crisis, you learn a great deal about people. And during the COVID-19 pandemic, we quickly learned we have the most generous and loyal donors. Thank you for your continued support and faith in Pebble Beach Company Foundation. A central tenet of our work is that children need a strong foundation — and that starts with mental health and wellness. We recognize the importance of this foundation in helping to ensure that youth have the capacity to be successful in school and life. As you will read, supporting this fundamental issue of mental health and wellness, in addition to education, is a main focus of our grantmaking. The COVID-19 crisis reinforced the importance of mental health on a child’s education. Our youth have demonstrated tremendous resilience during the last 18 months, but it is clear that these historic adversities, along with the increased educational inequities, will have an impact for years to come. We continue to partner with Monterey County’s best youthfocused nonprofits working to address the significant needs of our community, and share the core belief that every child in Monterey County deserves the chance to achieve their full potential. In 2020, we awarded grants to more than 100 local nonprofits and were able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of more than 10,000 Monterey County youth from prekindergarten to post-graduate. All of this work would not be possible without your generous support. Thank you again for believing in our vision. We are working to ensure that all Monterey County youth, especially those with the fewest resources, have caring connections and exceptional educational opportunities. As we look ahead, we believe the needs in our community will continue to grow as we navigate the aftermath of the past year. We are committed to working together to provide a brighter future for all Monterey County youth.
