Welcome Dear Friends, We are pleased to deliver the 2021 Pebble Beach Company Foundation Annual Report, which highlights our accomplishments and our impact on youth education in our community over the past year. Looking back on the last two years, there is no question that 2020 was an unprecedented year of uncertainty and grief. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic proved to be equally, if not more, challenging in 2021, putting an enormous strain on our community and particularly on our youth. Most notably, the pandemic highlighted the inequities in our community and the disparity in circumstances that our youth continue to navigate. While some are experiencing relief, others are continuing to suffer. While we heard reassuring stories of resiliency, extreme accounts of adversity remain. Our grantees and their dedicated teams work tirelessly each day to address these issues and ensure that every child in Monterey County can achieve success in their education and lives. As we worked to support our grantees and local youth, we learned that youth mental health has risen to the top of the challenges facing our children. We were informed time and time again that children cannot take advantage of educational programs if they are experiencing mental health issues. As a result, the Foundation has focused on supporting programs which address these pressing issues, and our Annual Report highlights many of the grantees who are tackling the problem. We continue to be amazed by the generosity of our supporters. Thank you for believing in the Foundation and our mission. Your support allows us to have an impact on youth education, while also supporting our best-in-class grantees. Looking to the future, Pebble Beach Company Foundation will continue to evolve to support the needs of our youth and our community.
