Each year, these contributions positively impact the lives of over 10,000 children. Prominent beneficiaries such as Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County, Seneca Family of Agencies, Montage Health Foundation, Natividad Foundation, Salinas Valley Health Foundation, Rancho Cielo, MY Museum and United Way of Monterey County directly benefit from the generosity of the Concours. Expressing deep gratitude, Sandra acknowledges the unwavering support of those who gather at Pebble Beach to celebrate automotive excellence while simultaneously raising essential funds for those in need. “I am motivated to continuously surpass my giving goal each year when I get the opportunity to visit our charities and see the work they have done to turn dollars into programs that will positively impact our community for decades," Sandra said. "This year, I visited the outpatient infusion center at Salinas Valley Health and was impressed by the incredible need filled that was made possible by our donors. Having an outpatient center is especially important for children who can now receive their medication outside of a hospital setting where many of them have spent too much of their lives already. The infusion center offers financial counseling, language interpretation services and social services for families in need.” Sandra extends appreciation to the dedicated organizations that ensure these funds are effectively utilized for the betterment of our community. Signature Events Argyle, old-fashioned golf clubs and the sound of bagpipes are plentiful at this annual Foundation fundraiser. Since its inception in 2010, the Hickory Sticks Invitational has raised over $860,000 in support of the Foundation’s programs and scholarships, benefiting Monterey County youth. Now in its 11th year, this sell-out event draws plenty of locals as well as eager players from across the country who want to test their skills with the old equipment — a humble reminder of the skill once required to score par. Legendary sports announcer Jim Nantz often makes a guest appearance and has announced playoff rounds to the delight of the players.
