Pebble Beach Company Foundation 2022 Annual Report

2022 Annual Report 7 Scholarship Academy The Scholarship Academy is the signature program of Pebble Beach Company Foundation. This program provides broad-based educational assistance through scholarships and financial aid. The Academy focuses on two areas: Community Scholarships for Monterey County youth organizations and Company Scholarships for the children of Pebble Beach Company employees. Through our decades of experience, we have seen the positive impact scholarships have on students from pre-kindergarten to postgraduate levels. Cameron fell in love with the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance when his dad brought him to the event as a kid. After seeing "some of the coolest cars I've ever seen," Cameron now spends his entire year preparing for that week as the Installations & Operations Coordinator for the Pebble Beach Concours d ‘Elegance. Cameron landed his dream job this spring after completing his degree in Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management at San Jose State. Julian Pay It Forward Scholarship Scholar California State University, Monterey Bay Sustainable Hospitality Management Julian is a first-generation college student who is on track to graduate a semester early with honors. He successfully navigated his first year completely online, with the goal of entering the hospitality industry in Monterey County. In addition to maintaining a job since high school, Julian is an avid golfer and enjoys mentoring local high school and fellow CSUMB students. Through her work as a caregiver, Lizet has seen firsthand how language barriers can inhibit understanding of diagnoses and treatment, and delay or postpone medical treatment. She feels strongly that the medical field needs diverse representation and plans to advocate for minority groups in her role as a nurse when she graduates with her BSN from CSUMB next year.
