As Pebble Beach Company celebrates its centennial, we are reflecting on and celebrating our history across the Resort. We are particularly proud of the growth that the Pebble Beach Company Foundation has experienced since it was created in 1975. In the forty-three years since, the Foundation has granted close to $9 million in scholarships and community grants and changed the lives of tens of thousands of Monterey County children. We provided a seed grant to Community Partnership for Youth in 1991 and watched them flourish, have given life-changing scholarships to hundreds of local students, and recently partnered to bring Little Free Libraries to communities around Monterey County. We continue to grow, expand, and refine our process while staying true to our vision that all children in Monterey County deserve an exceptional education and the opportunities that come with it. Throughout our history, we have partnered with our region’s best youth- focused nonprofits to address the significant needs in our community. Together, we are dramatically improving educational opportunities for Monterey County’s children and helping them achieve their full potential. In short, we believe that education changes lives. The Foundation had a record year in 2018, thanks to your generous support. We awarded more than 90 grants to organizations dedicated to making a meaningful difference, and were able to reach more than 10,000 Monterey County youth from pre- kindergarten through postgraduate levels. A special thank you to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and Chairman Sandra Button, who have been valued partners and supporters for several decades. Looking to the future, we are excited to continue to grow the Foundation as we work with our dedicated partners to provide exceptional educational opportunities and a brighter future for all Monterey County youth.
