Pebble Beach Wedding Stories
“Christopher and I met while attending Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland in November of 2006. Believe it or not, we met one afternoon during finals period in the incredibly romantic… library! After losing a 20-page term paper, I broke down in tears.
Witnessing the entire disaster, Christopher came to my rescue! Being the incredibly smart and technologically savvy gentleman that he is, Christopher managed to recover my precious document. While Christopher worked his magic, I turned on my charm, and landed a date with my future husband.
Christopher and I lived in Baltimore for a few more years as he completed his PhD program. In 2011, we happily moved to the fabulous Bay Area and settled in to our new lives as San Francisco residents. In July of 2012, Christopher and I embarked on a much-needed vacation to the gorgeous island of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands.
Vacationing at the very hotel where my mother and father honeymooned nearly 30 years prior, Christopher dropped to one knee and proposed. The proposal was everything I could have imagined and more, equipped with an ocean backdrop and a private dinner for two on the water. After 5.5 years of dating the man of my dreams, I was certainly ready to marry the love of my life.
After our incredible island getaway, Christopher and I began the wedding planning process. Given our schedules, we determined a July 2013 wedding would work best. Considering we were both originally from California, he and I scoped out possible venues throughout the entire state.
Unsatisfied with our options in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Christopher and I ventured to the Carmel and Pebble Beach area. Our lives were changed the day we set foot on the property of Pebble Beach and the Carmel Mission. Set in the quaint town of Carmel, the Mission exudes beauty and elegance. Falling immediately in love with the Mission property, we were only even more excited about the location after visiting the heavenly properties of Pebble Beach.
From the moment we started our drive down 17 Mile Drive and viewed the breathtaking sites of the coastline and golf course, we knew this was going to be our special spot to tie the knot. Simply, nothing compares to views of the famous golf course, the Cypress tree, and the gorgeous Pacific Ocean. Our incredible experience at Pebble Beach continued as we stepped inside the amazingly gorgeous Pebble Beach Club Dining Room, which boasts floor-to-ceiling glass windows, providing a full view of all that Pebble has to offer.
While we were truly impressed by the physical offerings of Pebble Beach, it was the impeccable service that captured our hearts. We could not speak more highly of the top-notch service and treatment that Pebble offers. The Director of Catering, Daryl Griffith, and her staff, are unparalleled in terms of their professionalism, guidance, passion and enthusiasm. No request was too big or too small for Daryl and her team. Every concern was addressed without hesitation and every detail was executed flawlessly.
Additionally, the floral, kitchen, and dessert departments were a pleasure to work with. Our flower arrangements were beyond beautiful, our cakes were gorgeous and the food was incredible. The staff at Pebble Beach understands and delivers on the value of customer service. The preparation process was seamless and we were treated like royalty.
The wedding itself was the best day of our lives. Christopher and I loved every second of our special day and we owe a huge thank you to the people of Pebble Beach for treating us like family. Christopher and I cannot wait to enjoy our many anniversaries at the very spot we celebrated our first night as husband and wife. Thank you for creating memories that will last us a lifetime!”
