Have you ever been to Pebble Beach, California? Swipe through for full image. Pictured here is the Lone Cypress at sunset. The Lone Cypress is one of the many popular sights along Pebble’s famous 17-Mile Drive. This scenic roadway leads you past Bird Rock, beautiful coastline and through the 5300 acre Del Monte Forest, which is filled to the brim with beautiful Monterey Cypress groves. A fact about me: I carried out freshman year of high school super close to this exact spot. We used to longboard everywhere we went. Sometimes to this exact spot. Sometimes to other cliff side vistas to watch the big wave surfers do tow-ins from jet skis. It was a beautiful sunset just about three weeks ago. Moments like that carry a tremendous amount of nostalgia for me. Every time I return, the elements send me right back. I forget how much I love that area. If you haven’t been, I highly suggest visiting. For this shot, I wanted to go super long on the exposure. Although the waves weren’t too big, I did want to get the smooth effect across the board. How about the seagull that managed to stay still for over a whole minute on the top of the rock!?
